This is a small bit of a video project i'm working on. The resolution is terrible but it could give you an idea of what i'm working on.I use quotes from the bible, piles of food,dead animals,patterns and fake blood to show apocalptic visions of doom (with silliness too!)

Hey All,

We wanted to get a back and forth going on the book we are all reading by David Joselit. When we discussed the first chapter Open Circuits in class some of the ideas that stood out were the trajective, the social life of objects, and eco formalism. The concept of eco formalism was of specific interest. We drew connections between eco and not the immediate reference of ecology but economy, referring to a system of effects or exchange of value. 

In the end we were left wondering what Joselit really meant by eco formalism and the economy of forms. 

Any thoughts?

Heyooooooo!!!!!!  It's dawn from the new york side of things. this is a picture lizy drew of me when the students from braunschweig were in town. It was great to meet everyone and I would love to hear more about what peeps are up to. I have been working on animation....I'll post a video soon.....
